2008 C&C 115 Arrives in Vancouver

Just launched, this special C&C will soon be ready to sail away. Why is THIS one so special? For starters, we made the bold move of having the epoxy hull painted with gray metallic awlgrip hull paint. We're happy that we made this bold move, as everyone who has laid eyes on her can't believe how stunning she looks. Come see! [November/07]

Go Team New Zealand Go!

One of the YSW crew members went to see Louis Vuitton semi-finals of the Amercia's Cup in April. As a guest of the New Zealand team, Debbie got up and personal with the syndicate and it's members. "It was really fantastic to meet the team members," said Debbie. "They are very focused, well practiced and they're all NICE! I loved watching them dock after a race day and see them kick off their shoes and get into their flip flops." commented Debbie. Aside from spending time with the syndicate, she also got to enjoy the racing action up close on the team's 110' sailing yacht. To see the other teams out racing before elimination was a real treat too she said. [April/07]

What Does This Have to Do With Boating?

Absolutely nothing! We felt compelled to add a news related feature on one of the YSW crew. In March, Len took a trip to India and rode a Royal Enfield 350 Bullet from Goa to the Southern region. His 13 day 3,200km adventure took him through everything from deserts to lush tropical forests. He joined 100 other adventure riders in a challenging enduro rally with proceeds going to various charities. Not only did he come home with many great stories about the country, people, hectic roads and culinary delights, he rode for a good cause too! [March/07]

Boat Show Time!

Talk about getting back in to the swing of things in the New Year. It's mid-February and we're already into our 4th show of the year! Toronto, Montreal, Seattle and now our home base show in Vancouver which just started today. Pictured here is our display in Toronto with a Bavaria 44 Vision (Canadian debut) and Bavaria 33 Cruiser. Bavaria 50' Delivery.

Our first 50 that's been imported in to Canada was recently delivered to her new owners on Vancouver Island. Pictured here during sea trials on English Bay in November, the crew was impressed with her fantastic turn of speed, easy handling and stylish good looks as are the new owners. [Dec 18/06]

Zambacca Makes the Journey to Her New Home!

The new owners of a new C&C 115 (hull#31) have just taken delivery of their very fine looking boat. As tradition would have it (since 1974 we were told), whenever a new boat comes in to the Maple Bay YC, a group of members board the "gentlemen's launch" to go and bring the new boat home. We heard afterwards that Zambuca had a great sail back to the yacht club and the welcoming party was great (as they should be). We heard too that Zambuca was the favoured drink at the party! [May5/06]

We Have Splashdown!

We just launched our second C&C 115. This boat, once we have finished commissioning her is going to be BEAUTIFUL. The owner's chosen a dark green hull with a red leather interior; think British sports car...fast, beautiful and oh so stylish. A real head turner. [Jan 27/06]

Just Who Are These Smiling People?

That would be Brad and Bev who just took delivery of the first Bavaria 33 to arrive to the West Coast. Their plans include cruising locally this year before heading off on an East Coast adventure next year. Congratulations![[Feb 18/06]

C&C 115 gets a Special Bottom

Our commissioning team was so excited about the arrival of our first C&C 115 that they painted the C&C logo on the bottom. "When the boat heels over, other boaters will know what boat it is that's slicing past them." said Rob, the fellow that painted the logo in freehand (with antifouling of course!). Thanks to Rob and his crew for the great job! Pictured here is Rob (r) and Tony (l). [Oct/05]

Whoever said the West Coast should be called the "Wet" Coast

...Hasn't been to Annapolis in October.

Len and Rob from South Shore Yachts (our East Coast Bavaria dealer) just returned with some new boat orders from the Annapolis show. On Friday, the local weatherman predicted heavy rain. What wasn't predicted was heavy rain combined with a super high tide. While Len and Rob were enjoying some complimentary beverages at the Selden booth (taking refuge from the rain), they noticed that the floor was getting very wet. A while later, they noted that water was filling their shoes. A little later (as in they were there for a while), they had to remove their shoes and roll up their pants so that they could continue to enjoy the fine company of the Selden fellows. Much later (as in it was dark and most had gone home), they had to sit up high on the furniture. So, thanks to the Selden fellows! Pictured here (center) is Rob with pants rolled up and shoes in hand wading out of the show grounds. [Oct/05]
